Clarence “Cab” Baber – Chairman of the Board
For 30+ years our farmer, Clarence (Cab) Baber, has actively advocated for Hawaii farmers to be able to grow industrial hemp because he knows hemp can play a pivotal role in re-creating a sustainable Hawaii as well as providing a very viable and potentially very lucrative crop for Hawaii farmers. Hemp can also help restore former sugar cane lands, including helping to immobilize herbicides and other toxics. Co-founder Hawaii Organic Farmers Association (HOFA) and Hawaii Island Hemp Council. Expert with microorganisms and probiotics in farming. On-island EM Bokashi producer for 18 years. Soil building and growing methods increase typical yields by 30%. Coordinated the statewide farmers hemp effort, which culminated in the passage of Senate Bill 2659 in 2016, establishing Hawaii State’s program for growing hemp.
Randy Hasstedt – President of the Board
Randy possesses strong organizational, logistical, design, and performance skills gained from managing multimillion-dollar projects, including all phases from design to execution. Notably, he designed and implemented efficient convoy loading plans in Iraq and streamlined warehouse operations, resulting in significant cost savings. His blueprint comprehension enabled efficient crew management and resource optimization. Recent experience with a 501c3 for homeless veterans has provided valuable experience collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve mission goals. VF3 Vice President Research and Development Oversees internal operations, helping to build strong customer relationships, maximizing the company's operating performance, and helping to achieve the company's financial goals.
John Densmore ( Board Treasurer) Chief Financial Officer
Sustainable Industries Group - - Real Estate Broker - Construction Engineer - Mechanical Designer & Project Engineer with over 30 years of experience in multiple technical and operational disciplines. Influencer of the water clarification system for the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, and numerous other notable projects in Nevada. John also worked at Johnson Controls for a number of years as a project engineer and project manager. Theresa “Tabia” Moreland CCHt. (Board Secretary) Chief Operations Officer -
Tabia” Moreland is an experienced executive and strategic leader with a 30-year track record in business development, operations, and community-driven enterprise. As COO of VF3, she helps guide the company’s mission to empower veterans and feed communities through sustainable fish and food farming. Theresa previously served as Executive Business Development Director at US Freedom Farms and is the founder of KIAMSHA by Tabia Mawusi. She is a Clinical Hypnotherapist in a wellness and coaching practice. She is also the visionary and founder of the Mend A City Movement, a published author, actor, director, playwright and producer. Her work bridges entertainment, agriculture, wellness, and social impact with a focus on healing, sustainability, and economic empowerment. VF3 COO Chief Operations Officer in charge of overseeing the operational functions of VF3, which may include staffing, administration, and company strategy.
Eugene “Gene” White VF3 Director of Sales & Marketing
Gene White holds a journalism degree with an exercise science minor from Iowa State University. His diverse career includes roles as a Braniff International flight attendant, recruiter, instructor, supervisor, and Concord inflight service supervisor. A 35-year fitness professional, he was a racquetball pro and a personal trainer known as "Trainer to the Stars" for his work on films like "Born on the Fourth of July" and "Silkwood," and with Leisa Hart of "Abs and Buns of Steel." He trains individuals from beginners to pros and authored "The Infinity Plan a Blue Print for Anti-aging." Gene founded Fitness Fiduciary, a corporate well-being company. An expert in gerontology, he incorporates the research of leading doctors into his well-being programs. He is also a bodybuilder, golfer, and father of twins.
Mike Hasstedt – Board Director
Mike is a Military Veteran with the following educational background: Sanford-Brown College Online, Tampa, FL, Associates of Science, June 2014
Hawkeye Community College, Waterloo, IA General Studies, 1996 At present, Mike works for the U.S. Freedom Farms and The U.S. Veterans Alliance helping veterans and farmers to produce industrial hemp and industrial hemp products. Mike also works inside Urban and Rural Communities along with Native American Communities and Organizations helping them to get educated in the understanding of the abilities and uses of industrial hemp for sustainability and also agricultural security. VF3- Director of Project and Product Development Determine, implement and monitor research and development strategies and priorities to support the organization's commercial, policy or research objectives. Will lead major research projects and provide research advice to the organization.
Bill Ludwig – Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Bill, a University of Northern Iowa business graduate, has extensive experience in sales, management, small business acquisitions, and growth. He co-founded a real estate company, achieving a $3 million net worth in five years, and helped launch Neuro Rehab Care of Waterloo (NRC), a nationally recognized company with $2.5 million in annual revenue since inception. Driven by a mission to support others through rehabilitation, He will lead VF3's strategic direction, provide innovative guidance, and maintain relationships with strategic partners and vendors. VF3 CEO Chief Executive Officer Responsible for leading the strategic direction of the Company and providing the innovative guidance to create value for our customers.
Mark Hadley (Board Director) Managing Director -
Mark is a retired US Air Force fighter pilot and acquisition program manager, with extensive project management experience in flight test, satellite VF3 Managing Director Provide inspirational leadership and direction to company leaders and 25 acquisition and launch, modeling and simulation, and strategic planning for billion-dollar programs. He has an Engineering Sciences degree from the USAF Academy and a masters degree in Systems Engineering Management. He and his wife are now successful small business owners in Colorado. managers, ensuring effective and efficient operations to achieve business objectives. Reports directly to the CEO.
Krystle “Kismet” Wilson (Board Director) Director of AI Automations & Blockchain Integrations
Krystle Wilson brings commercial vertical farm operations experience (33 plant species, weekly restaurant supply) and 18 years in sustainable architecture and urban farming design, combined with blockchain innovation as Product Owner for the 2023 Spark Hackathon winning team where she developed concepts for tokenizing agricultural production. At VF3, she will lead technological infrastructure development for institutional investment and scale through carbon credit systems, revenue-based tokenization, automated investor returns via smart contracts, and supply chain tracking that will transform VF3 into a blockchain-enabled investment platform creating liquidity mechanisms traditional agriculture cannot access. She will direct AI automation consolidating operations, production metrics, and quality control into unified dashboards as VF3 scales. A published author and Community Lead for H.E.R. Dao who has moderated tech panels at ETH Bangkok 2024, Krystle excels at translating complex technology into actionable strategy, pioneering Web3 innovation in regenerative farming.
Gary Williams – (Board Director) Chief Technical/Procurement Officer
Gary is a 25-year security professional that has completed work under contracts for Alcoa Inc, Local and Federal Law Enforcement agencies, and many other large and small-scale operations. Mr. Williams has been in the cannabis and hemp spaces for over ten years. During this time, Mr. Williams was also a partner in a cannabis dispensary, grow operation, and extraction facility. Mr. Williams is a contract specialist and has negotiated multi-million dollar contracts for Rockwell Int’l and MacDonnell Douglas Corporations under the B-1B and C-17 subcontracts respectively. VF3 CTO - Chief Technical Officer Develop technical aspects of the company's strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals. Discover and implement new technologies that yield a competitive advantage. Help departments use technology profitably. Supervise procurement infrastructure to ensure efficiency.
